Traffic and Parking for Art in the Park, Rodeo and Parade:
Mandan Rodeo Days & Fireworks Display Traffic Control
Traffic detours will be in place immediately following the Mandan Rodeo and fireworks display at Dacotah Centennial Park on July 3 and 4.
24th Avenue Route
Vehicles exiting Dacotah Centennial Park onto 24th Avenue SE will be directed to travel west on 3rd Street SE or west on Memorial Highway. There will be no eastbound traffic from this route.
Longspur Trail Route
Traffic exiting Dacotah Centennial Park eastbound on Longspur Trail will be routed east on Memorial Highway. There will be no westbound traffic from this route.
East Main Street
There will be no eastbound traffic allowed onto Memorial Highway from East Main Street during this period of time.
No traffic will be allowed on Riverwood Avenue during this period of time.
Independence Day Parade Street Closures & Parking Restrictions
Street closures and parking restrictions will be in place on July 4 to help control the increase in traffic due to the Independence Day Parade.
Parking anywhere on Main Street is prohibited from 1 a.m. on July 4 until after the parade is over. Cars parked on Main Street during this time will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Parking lots in the downtown area will also be subject to restrictions. Please watch for changes in signage.
Main Street and Memorial Highway from Third Street SE to Main Street will be closed at 7:45 a.m. At the same time, inbound traffic from I-94 will be detoured from Main Street.
Expect long delays and congestion near the parade route. Drivers are encouraged to use the Exit #153 to Mandan Avenue and Exit #152 to Sunset Drive.
Free busing to the parade route is available at the Mandan Middle School, as well as multiple locations in Bismarck. Busing runs continuously from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For a complete list of busing locations or to view the schedule of events, visit www.mandanparade.com and click on "Schedule."
